Base pay range $16.15/hr – $18.00/hr

Responsibilities

Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.

In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.

Provides courteous and productive customer service, greeting customers/patients, offering assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.

Recommends items for sale, trade‑ups, and companion items to customers.

Keeps counters and shelves clean, well merchandised, and conducts inventory and record‑keeping as directed.

Performs tasks assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, checking for interactions, and maintaining workflow.

Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies, the Walgreens Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct, and Good Faith Dispensing policy.

Handles telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including physician calls.

Processes manual claims for third‑party program prescription services promptly and performs related clerical duties.

Assists Pharmacy Department with inventory management, ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.

Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.

Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, and performs resets and revisions as directed.

Manages food item separation and product placement, assists with stock rotation, and applies the first‑in, first‑out method.

Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo, poster print, and creative machine services.

Assumes web‑pick‑up responsibilities, monitoring orders, filling picks, and delivering to customers upon arrival.

Supports exterior and interior maintenance, maintaining a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.

Follows all company policies and procedures, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes special assignments as assigned.

Training & Personal Development

Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state‑required certification/registration.

Attends training, completes required PPLs, and acquires continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy.

Basic Qualifications

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications

Six months of experience in a retail environment.

Previous work experience with Walgreens.

Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).

Strong computer skills.

Knowledge of store inventory control.

PTCB certification.
