Position:
Technology – Network Administrator
Salary: Administrative Professional
Pay Grade 2
Minimum $52,963.00 Maximum $74,589.00
Minimum Duty Days: 223 Days
Start Date: 2025-2026 Workday Schedule
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer Networking, Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise or school district networks and direct experience managing LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, and wireless systems
Willingness to obtain industry certifications within 12 months of hire
Preferred Qualification
Current industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA or CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.
Prior experience in a PK–12 public school district or similar environment.
Primary Purpose The Network Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining the district's LAN/WAN and voice network infrastructure to ensure the integrity, security, maximum performance, and availability of the network. This includes proactive monitoring, daily operations, troubleshooting, and optimizing network performance to ensure reliable, seamless connectivity for students, staff, and all educational and operational systems.
The role also involves implementing and maintaining network security measures to safeguard against cyber threats, ensuring data integrity, and working closely with other members of the Technology Department to document, manage, and enhance district-wide network services and infrastructure.
Special Knowledge/Skills
Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, wireless systems, and current network security practices.
Familiarity with educational technology systems, e-rate eligible network equipment, and regulatory compliance requirements
Experience with network tools and diagnostic tools
Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams to accomplish organizational objectives.
Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
