About the Role Kovach Enclosure Systems is seeking an experienced
HRIS Administrator
to help stabilize, configure, and optimize our
UKG Pro HRIS and Payroll system
supporting approximately 360 employees. This position is based in Chandler, AZ and will serve as the internal UKG subject matter expert with a strong focus on onboarding, configuration, and implementation of new UKG tools and modules.
As a company that is
new to UKG , we are looking for someone who enjoys building systems, improving workflows, and partnering cross‑functionally to ensure UKG is fully leveraged to support HR, Payroll, Accounting, and Operations—including within a construction environment that includes prevailing wage, job costing, and multi‑state compliance.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the
primary UKG Pro HRIS Administrator , focusing on system setup, configuration, and ongoing optimization.
Lead or support the implementation of new UKG modules, features, and tools, including onboarding, workflows, and reporting.
Partner with HR, Payroll, Accounting, and Operations to design and improve UKG processes—especially those unique to construction (prevailing wage, project‑based labor, job costing).
Configure and maintain pay codes, benefits, deductions, security roles, and workflows.
Manage and troubleshoot
integrations
between UKG and other systems (timekeeping, benefits vendors, accounting platforms).
Support payroll processing, audits, and testing to ensure data integrity and compliance with federal, state, and multi‑state labor laws.
Build and maintain dashboards and reports for HR and leadership using UKG BI or similar tools.
Create SOPs, training materials, and end‑user documentation to support adoption and consistency.
Stay current on UKG releases and best practices, proactively recommending enhancements and process improvements.
What You Bring
2–5 years of hands‑on experience administering UKG Pro (UltiPro) , with direct involvement in system setup, configuration, or module implementation.
Strong experience supporting onboarding, workflows, and process design within UKG.
Experience with payroll configuration and testing.
Integration experience, including file feeds, vendor connections, and system testing.
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent documentation, communication, and cross‑functional partnership abilities.
Construction industry experience or familiarity with job costing and prevailing wage is a plus.
Preferred
UKG Pro certification and/or experience supporting a UKG implementation or post‑implementation optimization.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, HRIS, Information Systems, or a related field.
