Overview The Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) at Norman Regional Health System provides specialized, high‑acuity care to patients with cardiac conditions before and after procedure. We care for patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and micra‑pacemaker insertions, and cardiac ablation, as well as those hospitalized with a variety of cardiac diagnoses.
Compensation / Benefits
Base pay range $26.83/hr – $44.46/hr (based on experience)
Evening differential $2.50/hr
Night differential $3.00/hr
Weekend differential $3.00/hr

Responsibilities
Provide high‑acuity critical cardiac nursing care to patients in the PCCU
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence‑based care plans
Monitor patient status, interpret hemodynamic data, and initiate timely interventions for cardiac emergencies
Document all nursing interventions and patient assessment accurately
Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, procedures and post‑procedure care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety projects
Qualifications
Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS) training required; BLS must be maintained throughout employment
Previous experience in critical care or cardiac nursing preferred, but new graduates may be considered with completion of Norman Regional’s Nurse Residency Program
