MMCAP is a national cooperative group purchasing organization (GPO) for government healthcare facilities. MMCAP was established in 1985 and has over 30,000 member facilities across all 50 states. MMCAP’s primary function is to provide a full range of pharmaceuticals to its participating facilities. It also has contracts for vials and containers, medical supplies, drug testing, returned goods processing, influenza vaccine, dental products and services, and dozens of other lines of business.

MMCAP is operated within the State of Minnesota, Office of State Procurement (OSP). The mission of MMCAP is to ensure best value for pharmaceuticals and healthcare products and services to government facilities across the nation through executing contracts that leverage aggregated member volume to drive deeper discounts. We are seeking an Administrative Fee Support assistant to provide clerical, data, and customer support to the analytical support of the Knowledge and Financial Management (KFM) unit within MMCAP. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assisting in data processing of MMCAP administrative fees by applying accounting knowledge, principles, and practices.

Assisting in the clerical aspects of maintaining database accuracy by reviewing reports and making corrections.

Assisting in large MMCAP projects by providing clerical and customer service assistance.

This position will also be responsible for completing research assignments about various aspects of the pharmaceutical and medical supply GPO and practices within the industry as directed by the supervisor.

This position is eligible for up to a 50% hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, additional onsite attendance may be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of basic accounting principles, procedures, and practices sufficient to reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase orders, run reports, and estimate needs based on account data.

Math skills sufficient to calculate, review, and reconcile financial data and accounts.

Effective communication skills to explain reasons for transactions and procedures, rules, and regulations so that others understand the information they are being given.

Knowledge of documents, records, and database management tools sufficient to store, categorize, and retrieve files.

Skill in data entry sufficient to read source documents and enter data accurately in specific databases or tracking systems.

Word processing skills sufficient to use software applications to create, format, and edit documents.

Customer service skills sufficient to interpret and explain program information to customers, clients, and team members, such as policies, procedures, requirements, application details, and payment methods.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a group purchasing organization (GPO), healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry.

Experience in public sector accounting processes and controls.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, including word processing, spreadsheets tables charts, and graphs.

Experience in State of Minnesota enterprise systems, such as SWIFT, SWIFT Data Warehouse, Document Direct, or other comparable systems.

Ability to operate office equipment, such as scanner, copier, fax, etc.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy working with numbers.

Time management and multi-tasking skills to complete assignments within established timeframes and with changing priorities.
