What Will I Do?
Collect and validate timesheets
Enter and validate employee revenue generation for bonuses and commissions
Input payroll for processing
Track employee benefits
Update internal databases (e.g., record sick or maternity leave)
Verify invoices processed for technicians in the POS system
Answer employee queries about payroll and benefits
Produce and deliver payroll from multiple sources on time
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions while complying with federal and state laws (IRS, FLSA)
Prepare statistical reports on employee pay, commissions, bonuses, vacation, sick time, disability, and workers’ compensation premiums, as well as taxes and withholdings
Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems for accuracy and timeliness
Generate records showing each payee, hours worked, wages paid, withholdings, and taxes withheld
Resolve payroll issues, implementing procedures to mitigate future risks and errors
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
Collaborate with finance to complete payroll tax balancing and issue W‑2s
Communicate regularly with management, Human Resources, Finance, and Workers Compensation on payroll topics
Recommend development of new policies and procedures using knowledge of regulations and reporting requirements
Audit quarterly tax filings and file amendments when necessary
Work with external auditors on annual audits, walkthroughs, and data gathering
Do I Have What It Takes?
BS/BA in business administration (finance/accounting)
5+ years of payroll experience
Comprehensive knowledge of payroll best practices and related law regulations
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Detail oriented and deadline driven with strong analytical, organizational, and computer skills
Ability to present data concisely, logically, and usefully
Understanding of basic accounting concepts to assist in general ledger reconciliations
Experience with Excel, Outlook, Service Titan, QuickBooks
Knowledge of labor laws
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize important projects
Excellent communication skills
Strong ethics and ability to keep information confidential
Attention to detail and accuracy
Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills
