Overview A confidential single‑family office with an active private investment arm is seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant to support its accounting and finance operations. The firm oversees a diverse portfolio of entities and investments across multiple sectors and offers a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment with significant exposure and learning opportunity.
Role Summary The Senior Accountant will be hands‑on, analytical, and able to manage detailed accounting work across multiple entities. This role spans corporate, investment, and personal accounting activity and provides visibility into venture‑style investments, real estate, and fund‑level accounting.
Key Responsibilities Core Accounting
Manage full‑cycle accounting across multiple entities (corporate, investment, and personal)
Maintain general ledgers; perform reconciliations across accounts, loans, and investments
Support invoice processing, A/P, A/R, and billing cycles
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Assist with budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, and ad‑hoc analysis
Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies
Investment & Asset Accounting
Track and account for private investments across multiple structures
Maintain investment schedules and support capital call, distribution, valuation, and reporting activity
Family Office Support
Oversee accounting for trusts, LLCs, and personal entities
Coordinate with tax and legal advisors for compliance
Process intercompany allocations and shared‑expense activity
Manage confidential financial information with discretion
Process & System Optimization
Assist with improvements to reporting, systems, and financial controls
Support evaluation and implementation of new accounting tools/automation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
3‑5 years
progressive accounting experience
Prior experience in a family office, private investment, or multi‑entity environment
required
Strong GAAP knowledge and financial‑statement preparation experience
High proficiency with Excel and modern accounting platforms (Sage Intacct, Bill.com, QuickBooks, etc.)
Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to work with sensitive information
Strong written and verbal communication skills
