The University of Florida seeks a skilled and strategic Financial Reporting Team Leader to oversee the preparation of the University’s comprehensive consolidated financial statements and other required external reports, and to provide essential support and strategic analysis to the University and its Component Units. Responsibilities
Direct comprehensive financial reporting operations Manage production of the University’s Annual Financial Report Oversee external reporting and audit requirements Provide strategic support to College, Unit, and Component Unit stakeholders Maintain a customer‑centric environment and ensure high‑quality service experiences for internal departments and external stakeholders Lead a high‑performing financial reporting team Create continuous improvement frameworks Develop and implement innovative departmental strategies Align financial reporting objectives with the University’s broader goals Drive ERP transformation initiatives and ensure legal and regulatory compliance during system transitions Communicate complex technical requirements effectively Perform a variety of special projects as needed Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification, or willingness to obtain within two years Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Experience managing and reporting on internal and external audit activities for financial reporting Experience with financial statement consolidation and reporting across a complex environment Experience using PeopleSoft and/or Workday Financial systems Experience with government or higher‑education accounting and/or financial reporting Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and a minimum of two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and at least four years of relevant experience. Expected Salary
