City of Albuquerque
Lead data collection and analysis of complex sets of information to optimize the strategic development of the Violence Intervention Program. As needed develop processes for collecting new data and perform a variety of administrative and professional tasks in support of assigned area of responsibility. Work with the APD investigative units to build social network analysis of the drivers of gun violence in Albuquerque.

Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and
Three (3) years of crime analysis and research experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Successful completion of a security background check conducted by the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI)
Principles and practices of program development and implementation
Principles of data collection and analysis
Principles, practices and methodologies of analyzing data through a race equity lens
Recent developments, current literature and information related to violent crime and gun violence activity
Analysis
Principles, practices, methodologies and techniques of violent crime and gun violence activity
analysis and prevention, law enforcement and police records processing
Modern office equipment including computers
Pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and safety regulations
Coordination of gun violence and violent crime analysis support activities
Statistical research and analysis performance
Utilize statistical software
Recommend and implement goals and objectives for providing violent crime and gun violence analysis and research
Interpret and explain policies and procedures
Operate office equipment including computers and supporting word processing and spreadsheet applications
Respond to requests and inquiries from the granting agency, sworn and civilian APD employees, and the general public
Communicate clearly and conciselyWork in a collaborative team with both System and Community stakeholders
Explain complex statistical analysis in the community
Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including the general public
