Job Summary:

The Investigator, Employee Relations plays a critical role in fostering a fair, inclusive, and high-trust workplace.

This role is responsible for managing sensitive employee relations matters with care, consistency, and integrity by conducting impartial and thorough investigations.

The position partners with cross-functional teams to ensure accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement of internal processes and programs.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage internal investigations across multiple functions for the Houston site, including alleged violations of company policies, laws, ethics, and general employee relations matters.

Conduct impartial, timely, and well‑documented investigations while balancing employee fairness, legal compliance, and business priorities.

Draft clear, well‑structured investigation documentation, including reports, talking points, and corrective action recommendations.

Collaborate with cross‑functional partners such as Legal, Ethics & Compliance, IT, Quality, EHS, local HR, and external counsel to ensure comprehensive and objective investigations.

Perform detailed root cause analyses for substantiated findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions to mitigate recurrence.

Document findings, decisions, and recommendations accurately in designated systems to support internal reporting and recordkeeping requirements.

Analyze investigation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and support action planning in collaboration with the HR team.

Provide recommendations to ensure compliance with company expectations and support improvements to internal processes and procedures.

Required Skills

Minimum a Bachelor’s degree is required

Prior experience conducting investigations, preferably within a multinational organization.

Experience working in complex, matrixed, or global environments.

Exposure to cross‑functional investigations involving Legal, Compliance, or external counsel.

Experience analyzing investigation metrics and trends to drive process improvement.

Familiarity with HR case management or investigation tracking systems.

Strong knowledge of employment law, HR practices, and compliance frameworks.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.

Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities.

Demonstrated ability to conduct interviews involving sensitive and confidential matters.

High level of discretion, empathy, resilience, and sound judgment.

Ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholders.

Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
