We provide timely, independent and impartial due process hearings and produce timely, legally correct decisions. Job Description And Duties Provide all necessary administrative support to the State Hearings Division and its Administrative Law Judges (ALJs) by: receiving and processing documents received via mail, fax/e‑fax, email, Secure File Transfer (SFT), verifying information, scanning documents to be added in to a shared database, sorting and organizing documents in preparation for entering hearing request data in the Appeals Case Management System (ACMS) and distributing to other bureaus. Reviewing and processing requests for authorized representatives, withdrawal and postponement tasks in ACMS. Uploading documents, and applying notes to the hearing request or claimant's profile on ACMS.

Act as point of contact for Covered California, county representatives, claimants, and authorized representatives. Respond to inquiries or direct to appropriate party for response. Answering customer service mail line, distributing mail and covering the receptionist desk. Photocopy, file, fax, and secure disposal or storage of SHD documents. Perform other duties or special projects as required in support of the SHD.

Special Requirements

The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications. You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
