Organization Facility: Miami Valley Hospital
Shift 7:00 AM–7:30 PM | 24 hours per week | 48 hours per pay period
Department Ortho/Neuro
Responsibilities
Check vitals such as temperature, heartbeat, and breathing.
Assist patients with movement, dressing, and eating.
Collect samples such as urine.
Report changes in a patient’s condition to a nurse.
Help with patient walks, hygiene, weighing, and vitals monitoring.
Education High school diploma or GED required.
Training BLS CPR certificate required. Will be provided during orientation if not already possessed.
Experience / Education Prerequisites
Completed STNA, CNA, or Patient Care Technician/Assistant training.
Prior patient care experience within the last 5 years (e.g., temperature check, bathing, restroom assistance).
Current nursing school student who has completed one clinical rotation.
Other Skills
Ability to multitask and remain courteous under interruptions.
Proficient with computer use.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Bonus: prior hospital experience.
