Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) / CNA, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), you will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with your PCT/CNA’s skills and training and the needs of the department, and consistently maintain a clean, well‑organized, and safe patient care environment.
Participate in implementing nursing care plans by performing direct and indirect patient care under the licensed nurse’s supervision.
Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care, including admissions data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, blood glucose levels, intake and output, and calorie counts.
Document observations, interactions, patient responses to activities, and any physical or behavioral changes at the time of occurrence.
Assist with mobility by regularly turning and positioning patients, assist patients with the use of walkers and other devices, and transfer patients to and from other departments.
Assist patients with daily living activities, including eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
Demonstrate caring and empathy in all interactions and advocate for patient‑ and family‑centered approaches in all decisions and actions.

Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
CNA training program preferred.
State‑licensed CNA certification or Fundamentals of Nursing Course at an accredited school required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
One year or more of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
