Description:
Under general supervision, the Patient Transporter works with a team to transport pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients to and from various areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, diagnostic areas, surgery, and admitting. Maintains communication with the dispatcher via two-way radio, documents transport activities, and maintains cleanliness and order of transportation equipment such as gurneys and wheelchairs.
Responsibilities:
Transport patients to and from hospital areas, including rooms, diagnostics, surgery, and admitting.
Communicate with dispatcher via two-way radio to receive transport requests.
Document transport activities and maintain equipment cleanliness and order.
Required qualification:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association on hire.
Preferred qualification:
Experience in a related healthcare field/position.
