Fairview Hospital’s 2 South unit offers a warm, comforting healing environment and provides comprehensive care and caring services for adults, 18 years of age or older, who have medical and surgical diagnoses. As an RN on this team, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey, interacting directly with patients and their families, and providing healthcare education as needed.

Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program).
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
External applicants must have two years of recent related nursing experience.
Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience may be considered after a 90‑day orientation period with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval.
Licensed military RN experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements
Full range of body motion including handling, lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work – exerts 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Physical demands exceed those for Light Work.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Minimum hourly: $41.00
Maximum hourly: $41.00
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education.
