The 6 North/South Units provide comprehensive medical/surgical and telemetry services in a warm, comforting and healing environment. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow staff in providing exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send‑off. You will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply health‑care information as needed. The Cleveland Clinic system also provides nurses with many professional development resources, including further education and online/in‑person courses.

Shift Schedule A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
One year of current acute‑care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements
Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients.
Manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination.
Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work – exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50
Maximum hourly: $53.60
The pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined after taking factors such as work history, experience, skill set and education into consideration. The range does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package.
