The 46‑bed 3 West Tower Med Surg/General Surgery Unit is known for outstanding communication skills, caregiver engagement, community service and top‑quality patient care. Nurses play an integral role in the care of our adult and geriatric patients here. As an RN in this department, you will use your nursing skills to enhance care and facilitate a welcoming, healing environment for patients. Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and their families.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN).
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
One year of current acute care RN experience. Military RN experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Physical Requirements
Full range of body motion, including lifting patients, manual dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.
Standing and walking for extended periods.
Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium work: exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Work demands exceed those for light work.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $33.50 Maximum hourly: $53.60 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be influenced by the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The range does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime) or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package.
