detail-driven Follow-Up Clerk
to play a critical role in the healthcare revenue cycle. Hours & Pay
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Lunch:
30-minute unpaid break
Pay Rate:
Starting at $16.00 per hour
Type:
540-hour temp-to-hire opportunity
Level:
Non-entry level; basic computer skills required
What You'll Do Each Day
Follow up on unpaid, delayed, or denied medical insurance claims via phone, payer portals, and email
Research claim issues and communicate with insurance companies to determine resolution steps
Document all follow-up activity, outcomes, and payer responses accurately within internal billing systems
Assist with claim corrections, resubmissions, and appeals to support timely reimbursement
Identify trends in claim denials or delayed payments and elevate findings to the billing team or leadership
Collaborate with billing and administrative staff to support smooth claim processing
Meet daily productivity and accuracy expectations in a deadline-driven environment
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare or business is a plus
Previous experience in
medical billing, insurance follow-up, or collections
strongly preferred
Basic computer proficiency with familiarity using
Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize workloads, and work independently
