Salary $16–16.50/hr. depending on experience

Hours Monday‑Friday, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm, 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

Work in a team‑oriented and safety‑conscious environment. Follow the PJHA process, Observation process, and all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.

Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties to maintain offices, restrooms, and public areas in clean and orderly condition.

Remove trash from offices and other work areas.

Strip, wax, burnish, and clean floors; scrub ceramic tile floors; clean and maintain carpeted floors.

Assist other service personnel with minor facility service repairs.

Use hand tools and cleaning machinery daily such as floor sweepers and brooms.

Work all shifts, including holidays and weekends, as demanded by the job.

Comply with all company and customer regulations, policies, and procedures.

Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.

Communicate with team members to assist in developing short‑ and long‑range planning to assist the company’s goals and objectives.

Maintain personal tools required for the job.

Meet the physical requirements of the job.

Maintain good attendance in accordance with company policy.

Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.

Accurate and timely administrative duties including time accounting and work order completion.

Maintain positive customer and employee relations.

Qualifications

Two years’ experience in Janitorial / Custodial applications desirable.

Physical Demands

Observation of details at close range.

Control precision – ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions.

Manual dexterity – ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.

Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.

Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.

Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.

Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.

Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.

Communication/expression – ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.

Information ordering – ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.

Work Environment Employees are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
