Title : Industrial Mechanical Technician – Entry
Location : Fort Dodge, IA
Salary : Up to $29.00/Hr
Hours : Mon – Thurs OR Tues – Friday 6:30AM – 5:00PM (Manager will assign)
Pay Schedule : Weekly pay on Fridays

What Will I Be Doing?
Work in a team‑oriented and safety‑conscious environment; adhere to safety first expectations including PJHA, Observation process, and all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power‑driven rotating equipment in conformance with established standards.
Work independently or under supervision as dictated by task difficulty and experience level.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures and provide work order feedback on discrepancies.
Use hand and power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, and mathematics as required.
Operate and maintain basic and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Work from elevated areas (ladders, platforms, scaffolding) using fall protection equipment.
Maintain flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set by performance appraisals and development planning.
Communicate with team members for short‑ and long‑range planning and support company goals.
Maintain personal tool list and ensure tool availability.
Perform accurate and timely administrative duties including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
What Makes Me Qualified?
0‑2 years of mechanical experience and/or 1‑2 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies preferred.
Mechanically inclined with familiarity with various tools.
Physical Demands
Observe details at close range (within a few feet).
Control precision: quickly and repeatedly adjust machine controls to exact positions.
Manual dexterity: grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects quickly.
Substantial lifting up to 50 lbs.
Move for extended periods; ascend/descend staircases, ladders, and step stools.
Operate hand and power tools and equipment; operate forklifts safely.
Wear respirator when required.
Communicate effectively; arrange tasks following rules.
Work Environment The work environment includes frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high and precarious places, fumes/airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, vibration, extreme heat/cold, wet or humid conditions, and loud noise.
