About Unbound Academy Unbound Academy is Arizona’s first virtual, tuition‑free charter school redefining education. We replace traditional worksheets with experiential learning and position personal development as the core focus. Students complete their academic work in just two focused hours each day with AI‑powered platforms, while the remainder of their time is devoted to skill‑building workshops that cultivate curiosity, resilience, and real‑world capability.
Key Responsibilities Guide student development and life preparedness by facilitating meaningful, real‑world learning experiences within a flexible, entirely virtual school environment.
What You Will Be Doing
Facilitating interactive, virtual workshops centered on life skills such as creativity, communication, and critical problem‑solving.
Providing one‑on‑one and small‑group mentorship to strengthen confidence, autonomy, and executive function in students.
Leveraging platform analytics to personalize support and monitor individual progress consistently.
Working alongside other educators to refine and co‑create project‑based learning experiences.
Cultivating a supportive, energizing environment where students feel valued, engaged, and motivated to develop.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Instructing core academic subjects—AI tutors manage that component.
Presenting scripted lectures or maintaining a traditional classroom structure.
Grading student work or preparing standardized lesson plans.
Basic Requirements
Valid US teaching certificate from any state.
Background in teaching, mentoring, or coaching students (Grades 4–8 preferred).
Confident virtual presence; comfortable facilitating sessions via video.
Availability for full‑time work (Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Arizona time).
Able to start within 2–3 weeks.
Enthusiastic about contributing to a technology‑enabled, student‑focused school.
Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The role is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
