Per Diem On‑Call Registered Nurse (RN) – Overview
Altus Hospice is seeking an On‑Call Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care and support to hospice patients and their families during critical moments. As an On‑Call RN, you will identify patient and family needs, coordinate care, and offer preventive measures and compassionate support.
Schedule After Hours & Weekends as needed.
Territory Corpus Christi and surrounding area.

Hands‑on Clinical Onboarding Program
Responsibilities
Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine, providing unwavering support.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
Provide support and education to patients’ families, guiding and reassuring them during challenging times.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health care (preferred).
Current, unencumbered RN license.
Minimum 1 year experience as an RN in a medical‑surgical/acute care setting; hospice experience is a plus.
Computer proficiency, including experience with EMR.
Current CPR certification if required by state.
Compensation $36.00 – $42.00 per hour (average pay range). Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and specific responsibilities. Final rate confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
