Los Angeles Angels - Full Time Minor League Athletic Trainer (ACL, Tempe, AZ) The Los Angeles Angels Player Development Department have an opening for a Minor League Athletic Trainer in Arizona for the 2026 season. Daily responsibilities include hands‑on treatments, training room maintenance, rehab progressions, game coverage, and any other duties as assigned by the Director of Minor League Medical.

Job Details This is a 12‑month position with the requirement of working spring training in AZ and a full championship season with the assigned affiliate club. The position is also benefit eligible, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) eligibility (employee contributions begin after 3 months, employer matching and safe harbor after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment), and additional perks not listed above.

The expected salary for this position can range from $70,000 to $80,000. Final offers will be made within this range, considering years of experience, skills, and other factors. The position will be located in Tempe, AZ.

Duties / Responsibilities

Injury Prevention and Management:

Work with the Lead Athletic Trainer to develop and implement injury prevention programs.

Provide immediate emergency and non‑emergency care for injuries that occur during practices and games.

Rehabilitation:

Create and administer rehabilitation programs for injured players.

Monitor and document the progress of injured athletes in the MLB electronic medical records system.

Collaborate with S&C coaches, dieticians, coaching staff and physicians to ensure comprehensive care.

Daily Operations:

Set up and maintain the athletic training room, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.

Assist in the organization and implementation of daily treatment sessions.

Maintain accurate records of player injuries, treatments and rehabilitation progress.

Communication:

Communicate with coaching staff, medical staff and front office to provide updates on player health and injury status.

Educate players on injury prevention, treatment options and recovery protocols.

Travel Responsibilities:

Accompany the team on road trips to provide medical support during games, and escort players to medical appointments as directed by the Coordinator of Minor League Medical.

Prepare necessary equipment and medical supplies for travel.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current BOC certification required.

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.

Prior baseball experience preferred.

Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Willing to work long and flexible hours.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient computer skills.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.

Ability to bend and stoop frequently.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in inclement weather.

Ability to work on uneven ground.
