Full Time Minor League Physical Therapist (Tempe, AZ) Overview The Los Angeles Angels Player Development Department have a Minor League Physical Therapist position in Tempe, AZ for the 2026 season. The Minor League Physical Therapist will work alongside the Rehab Coordinator with all daily responsibilities such as hands‑on treatments, training room maintenance, rehab progressions and any other duties as assigned by Director of Minor League Medical and Major League Head Athletic Trainer. This is a 12‑month position required to be present at the minor league complex in Tempe, Arizona.

This position is also benefit eligible including: medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K eligibility; employee contributions after 3 months, employer matching and safe harbor after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment and additional perks not listed above. The expected salary for this position can range from $100,000 – $110,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. The position will be located in Tempe, AZ although travel to affiliates may be required on an as needed basis.

Duties/Responsibilities

Collaboration with Player Development Departments Execute a rehab system that efficiently and effectively returns injured MLB 40-man roster players and MiLB players to competition in a high‑performing, resilient condition.

Collaboration with MLB Medical Staff Develop the rehabilitation methodology to be utilized across the organization.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration Work with Athletic Trainers, Physicians, Strength & Conditioning Coaches, Dieticians, Front Office, and Player Development staff to optimize player care and injury prevention.

Development of Rehab Progressions Create position‑specific rehab progressions ensuring objective and appropriate exposure to volumes and intensities of baseball activities.

Daily Medical Meetings Participation Engage in daily medical meetings, player rehab progressions, treatments, game coverage, and end‑of‑day reporting.

Objective Assessments and Screenings Conduct frequent objective assessments and screenings of healthy and injured players, utilizing this information to inform player progressions and maintenance programs.

Daily Documentation Maintain accurate daily documentation in the MLB electronic medical records system.

Administrative Duties Complete administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Minor League Medical.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current PT Licensure (licensed in AZ or eligible for AZ licensure)

Current CPR/AED and First Aid cards required.

Successful completion of an Accredited DPT Program

Strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Willing to work long and flexible hours.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time

Ability to bend and stoop frequently

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in inclement weather

Ability to work on uneven ground
