Responsibilities
Assist behavioral therapists in creating effective behavioral therapy programs tailored to children and adolescents.
Implement individualized service plans and provide behavioral interventions in home and community settings.
Actively manage youth with behavioral challenges, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Develop and initiate safety standards and instruct youth on positive behavioral practices.
Monitor and document observations of youth behavior to adjust daily activities aligned with therapeutic goals.
Design and implement engaging recreational activities that support emotional and social growth and maintain a clean, secure environment.
Qualifications
College degree with one year of work experience, or a high school diploma/GED and three years of supervised experience implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines.
Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents.
Prior experience in behavioral interventions and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
