This someone will have the skills and genuine desire to provide top notch customer service to make our guests feel welcome. The lucky crew member selected for this role will accelerate time when faced with an issue to ensure our Casino guests have a flawless and exceptional experience. In other words, this someone needs to know how to Make Ship Happen. Your excellent attention to detail and self-starter mentality means you can think quick on your feet and keep calm when ship gets real. Ultimately, we won’t be able to remember how we got by without you.
What You’ll be Up To
Maintain positive Sailor relations at all times.
Welcomes all Sailors entering the Slot Machine area.
Responsible for providing outstanding customer service by recognizing and remembering Sailors and their names.
Has a good knowledge of Slot machines in their area and able to answer Sailor queries on machine functions and payouts.
Notifies Slot Technician and Slot Manager of any malfunctioning or non-working machines for repair.
Able to perform minor repairs or make adjustments to slot machines such as machine tilts and coin jams.
Assists in the collection of machine bill stackers during slot revenue counts, arranges and carries out coin drop counts in accordance with company accounting procedures.
Constantly observes and monitors the slot operation to spot and prevent theft and/or embezzlement.
Meet and greet all Sailors in and around the Slot Machine area.
Be familiar with all cruise services/features and activations to respond to Sailor inquiries accurately.
Extend courteous salutations when guests leave outlet and invite them to return.
Assists in all hand paid jackpots according to company policy.
Carries out general housekeeping of slot machine area such as vacuuming, dusting and polishing.
Communicates any potential loss to Slot Manager on board.
Refers any disputes or disagreements within their area to the Slot Manager and seeks to resolve.
Partakes in inspections, trainings and meetings as required by Head of Department.
Ensures that the set standards are kept and staff members work according to their respective job descriptions.
Adheres to all health, safety, security and environmental policies and procedures.
Superpowers Required
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Slot Attendant in a Casino onboard a Cruise ship or a Casino ashore.
Passionate about people and able to handle guest complaints with a smile!
All certificates as required by the STCW code for this position.
Good command of the English language.
Last appraisal report to be submitted together with the SeaV.
