Job Description All Lowe's associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. As a Sales Floor Department Supervisor in the Paint department, you will lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.

Responsibilities

Provide resources and tools to support associates in delivering excellent customer service.

Assist with down stocking, area recovery, and contribute to merchandising decisions.

Monitor use of store power equipment and coach employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.

Coach and train associates, delegate duties, follow up on daily tasks, manage performance, and ensure adequate department coverage.

Conduct safety walks, report hazards, and maintain store safety.

Communicate with leadership to identify best practices and inspire customer‑focused behavior.

Supervise associates in other departments as needed to meet store demands.

May occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager‑on‑duty.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent and either 3 years of experience in a retail environment or 5 years of experience in a retail environment.

1 year of experience in customer service.

1 year of experience supporting Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).

Experience providing direction or supervising teams.

Experience in training, mentoring, and developing associates.

Experience working cross‑functionally.

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical ability to stand, sit, and lift for extended periods. Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance.

Availability morning, afternoon, and evening any day of the week; generally scheduled 39‑40 hours per week.

Ability to obtain sales‑related licensure or registration as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications

3 years of retail customer service experience.

3 years of experience supporting Pro customers.

Leadership role with direct reports.

Experience in the home improvement retail sector.

Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic retail environment.

Experience in a key carrying role with manager‑on‑duty responsibilities.

Experience using store computer systems such as Project Tool, Genesis, Sterling, M2O, Thin Client, etc.

Other Information

Travel may be required on occasion for meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.

Starting rate of pay may vary by location, education, training, and experience.
