Job Description Under the supervision of the Immunization Program Manager, this role is responsible for:
(50%) Quality Assurance
Conduct immunization record audits of private/public schools, day‑care centers, and registered homes.
Develop audit protocols, maintain databases, and coordinate appointment scheduling.
Provide technical support to local health department staff and school nurses.
Prepare and submit audit reports to county agencies and central office.
Maintain audit line‑listing system to identify non‑active or low‑coverage facilities.
(35%) Community Health Education and Outreach
Consult with local health agencies, schools, and community groups on immunization importance.
Serve as a public resource to promote the use of ImmTrac‑2.
Conduct education classes for school nurses, day‑care staff, and health departments.
Participate in health fairs, surveys, and National Immunization Observances.
(10%) Program Support
Assist Texas Vaccines for Children representatives as needed.
Support temperature monitoring of vaccine storage units.
(5%) Other Duties
Participate in disaster response, recovery, or COOP activation as directed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding of HIPAA regulations.
Training techniques and the ability to present complex information to varied audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ImmTrac‑2 software.
Strong customer‑service skills and record‑keeping accuracy.
Capability to travel up to 15% of the time.
Licensure and Other Requirements
Valid Class C Texas driver’s license or equivalent from another state.
Initial Screening Criteria
At least 2 years of customer service experience.
Experience in data entry and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred experience in training others.
Ability to travel up to 15%.
