Nurse Clinical / UKHC / ESH UK HealthCare is looking for a dedicated Nurse Clinical to join our team in Lexington, KY. The position is full‑time, Grade Level 10, with a salary range of $28.00–$39.10 per hour.

Work Status: Full-time, Staff Position

Shift: Three 12‑hour shifts per week (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), including weekends and holidays.

Required Qualifications:

Education: ADN (preferred: BSN + at least 1 year RN experience).

Licensure & Certifications: Active Kentucky RN license (or equivalent compact state RN, provisional license, or temporary work permit) in good standing and AHA Basic Life Support certification valid for at least 6 months post‑employment.

Experience: No prior experience required (preferred BSN/RN). Supervisory responsibilities: none.

Physical & Other Requirements:

Lifts, carries, pushes, pulls 50‑100 pounds daily; 25‑50 pounds frequently.

Stand, walk, sit for extended periods.

Exposure to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and potential injury from patient forces or sharp instruments.

Must be available for the mandated shift schedule.

Job Summary (Responsibilities):

The primary responsibilities include providing total, comprehensive, continuous, patient‑centered care: assessing, documenting, planning, implementing, teaching, developing, and evaluating nursing plans of care; delivering direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties to nursing assistants; and complying with university policies, federal, state, and local regulations. The role supports collaborative efforts among nursing staff and physicians to improve communication and patient outcomes.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Knowledge of Maslow’s human needs, Gordon’s functional health patterns, and Swanson’s caring model; superb direct patient care and critical thinking; basic computer navigation and internet skills; professional communication with patients, families, colleagues, and physicians; strong organization, prioritization, delegation, and teamwork; assertive patient advocacy.
