Position: Licensed Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) – Full‑time, 8‑hour shift.
Responsibilities
Direct daily functions of nursing personnel in compliance with applicable rules and standards for long‑term care.
Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure comprehensive resident care.
Develop, maintain, and implement quality assurance programs for the nursing department.
Oversee resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, completing all required documentation.
Perform routine charting and ensure accuracy in documentation per policies and procedures.
Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, adhering to the five rights of medication administration.
Review medication and treatment records for accuracy and adherence to stop‑order policies.
Conduct daily rounds to ensure staff compliance with nursing standards and performance expectations.
Qualifications
Nursing Degree from an accredited institution or graduation from an approved LPN program.
Active, license in this state (LPN or RN).
Current CPR certification.
Experience in long‑term care or with the geriatric population preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Strong leadership, customer service, and professionalism.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills to foster collaboration and manage staff effectively.
High level of accountability, responsibility, and decision‑making abilities.
Competence in planning, organizing, and implementing policies and procedures to meet organizational goals.
