Job Summary As a Nurse Aide at Palolo Chinese Home in Honolulu, you will play a crucial role in assisting residents with various daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well‑being. By helping with grooming, bathing, and mobility, among other tasks, you will directly contribute to the residents’ quality of life.
Communication is key in this role; you will report any changes in residents’ conditions, complaints, or issues promptly to the licensed nurse. Maintaining a safe and happy environment for residents is essential; adherence to regulatory guidelines, life safety protocols, and infection control measures is a fundamental part of this position. Accurate and timely documentation of care provided is also vital, ensuring that each resident’s needs are met efficiently.
Starting Pay:
$19.00 per hour based on experience and skillset

Assist residents with grooming, bathing, and mobility.
Communication with the entire health care team for the benefit of the residents.
Report changes to resident conditions, resident complaints, or any issues to licensed nurse.
Qualifications
Proficiency in English is crucial for effective communication with residents and the health care team.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Current Nurse Aide certification from an accredited training program or school.
2 consecutive TB clearances.
Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting, and Drug Screen clearance.
Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
