Join Walmart as an Operations Manager operating the floor of a grocery store. As a floor manager you will be responsible for driving the floor performance, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining safety and quality, and building a high‑performing associate team.
Base Pay Range:
$84,000 – $126,000 per year
Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and associates in both verbal and written form.
Drive and execute the business plan for the floor to achieve production, quality, safety goals and operational improvements.
Forecast staff needs, forecast workload and deliver performance results that meet demand.
Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Enforce compliance with Walmart’s logistics, quality, safety and company policies and procedures.
Supervise, coach and develop floor associates and associate leaders, providing feedback and training.
Maintain a culture of belonging, and ensure associates feel supported, respected and empowered.
Act with integrity, promote Walmart values and support the company’s sustainability and community goals.
Make decisions based on data insights and balance short‑term and long‑term priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor′s Degree in Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience in an operations, distribution, logistics, or retail environment.
Experience in hiring, promotion, training and performance management of associates and supervisors.
Strong analytical, forecasting and budgeting skills.
Excellent communication, coaching and conflict‑resolution abilities.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, shift‑based grocery store environment.
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of experience in an operations, logistics or retail setting with supervisory responsibility.
Financial modeling, budgeting and P&L accountability experience.
Walmart logistics or logistics‑manager background.
Experience leading diverse teams or working in a distribution center.
