The Role As Facilities Manager for Charleston, you will develop, implement, and manage administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the engineering department, ensuring safety, profitability, and compliance with corporate standards and local, state, and national codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
Follow all IRH management company standards.
Maintain HVAC, elevator, fire system, plumbing, and landscaping contracts.
Ensure all mechanical equipment is in working order.
Adhere to safe working standards.
Review and understand all MSDS products of Charleston properties.
Create and maintain preventive maintenance programs with ongoing documentation.
Communicate with all departments on an ongoing basis.
Manage controllable expenses, labor cost, and cost per location.
Order all necessary products for daily operation.
Handle normal building repairs.
Maintain a safe and fair work environment.
Direct the work of others in engineering or other departments.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Perform essential duties satisfactorily with required knowledge, skill, and ability. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities may be made.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions; handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
