About the Role As the Maintenance Manager for Charleston, you will develop, implement, and manage all administrative, financial, and operating aspects related to the engineering department. You will be responsible for the safety and profitability of the property in compliance with corporate, local, state, and national standards and codes.
Responsibilities
Follow all IRH management company standards.
Maintain HVAC, elevator, fire system, plumbing, and landscaping contracts.
Ensure all mechanical equipment is in working order.
Follow all safe working standards.
Communicate with all departments on an ongoing basis.
Order necessary products to complete daily operations.
Perform normal repair of the building.
Maintain a safe and fair work environment at all times.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
3+ years of successful maintenance experience.
Passionate about internal hospitality and embrace core values.
Strong problem resolution skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and keen eye for detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to navigate important conversations.
Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple correspondence; present information to customers, clients, and employees.
Ability to calculate basic figures (discounts, interest, commissions, percentages) and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
