Project Coordinator - Workforce Development (Project Management) The Project Coordinator supports the implementation and coordination of workforce development programs. This position plays a key role in advancing employment and training initiatives by coordinating service delivery, supporting talent pipeline development, ensuring compliance with all workforce funding requirements, maintaining accurate documentation, reporting, collaborating with employers, training partners, and community stakeholders to achieve performance outcomes related to credential attainment, measurable skills gains, job placement, retention, and wage progression.

Position Duties

Maintain current knowledge of workforce development best practices, reentry programming, trauma-informed care, and services for individuals with significant employment barriers.

Coordinate daily operations and implementation of federal, state and local workforce development services for unemployed and underemployed individuals.

Lead the coordination of multi-service delivery components including career assessments, employment readiness, skills training, education, supportive services, talent recruitment, job placement, employer engagement, and grant development activities.

Assist in coordinating with the workforce development specialist and other staff members in identifying employment opportunities, apprenticeships, work-based learning, on-the-job training and career opportunities aligned to in-demand occupations and industry sector strategies.

Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of training, wraparound supports, and financial services for all participants. Include families, agencies, and employers as required to develop individualized employment plans supporting long-term career advancement. Process participant service requests received from staff members in accordance with federal and state workforce guidelines.

Record, track, and compile participant, employer, and partner data using state workforce case management systems and the agency's customer relation management system.

Prepare, review, and submit reports on performance measurements, fiscal/billing, service delivery, and other required documentation to meet federal/state/local contractual requirements and monitor program quality.

Ensure full compliance with funder requirements, contractual obligations, CARF standards, workforce policies, and agency procedures regarding documentation, eligibility, enrollment, service delivery, and outcomes.

Use multiple data sources including labor market information (LMI), real-time job postings, employer feedback, and state workforce dashboards to analyze industry trends and support career pathway development and employer engagement. Research labor market data, workforce trends, and sector-based employment opportunities to support program planning and employer engagement.

Support department and program managers in meeting strategic objectives, workforce performance benchmarks, and compliance requirements set forth by fiduciary and contractual agreements.

Collaborate with management on developing and delivering workforce curriculum, i.e. - job readiness workshops, orientation sessions, and career development training both in-person and virtually.

Create templates, flyers, QR codes, and digital outreach tools following funder and organizational guidelines and work with the agency's communications and marketing department.

Participate in outreach efforts to recruit participants and employers and assist in developing marketing and informational materials that meet funder branding requirements.

Maintain and strengthen relationships with employers, training providers, educational institutions, mandated partners, state and local workforce agencies, chambers of commerce, and other key stakeholders in the workforce ecosystem.

Create process improvements and provide training to staff as needed.

Develop automations through Microsoft Planner to improve workflow management, task tracking, and overall team coordination; provide training to staff as needed.

Represent the organization and its workforce programs at internal and external meetings, community events, workforce system convenings, chamber events, and employer collaborations.

Provide coverage for management during absences to ensure continuity of operations.

Ensure all safety standards and procedures are followed.

Perform other workforce-related duties as assigned.
