Position Summary
Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking a qualified Primary Care Practice Manager (PCPM) to oversee the day-to-day operations of its Health Clinic in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This clinic serves individuals with behavioral health needs, as well as the general public, and operates within an integrated, patient-centered care model.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective supervision of clinical and administrative staff. The PCPM will collaborate closely with medical providers, behavioral health leadership, and executive management to support BCI’s mission of providing compassionate, ethical, and effective care.
Key Responsibilities Include
Oversee daily clinic operations, workflows, and staffing
Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
Support quality improvement initiatives and patient experience outcomes
Supervise, coach, and evaluate clinic staff
Manage scheduling, patient flow, and coordination of services
Partner with leadership on operational performance and clinic growth

Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field and one (1) year of experience managing a primary care office; OR
High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience managing a primary care office.
Experience with Athenahealth EHR preferred but not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Requirements Applicants must submit a resume and be able to pass:
AHCA Medicaid and Florida DCF Level II background check
Drug screening
Tuberculosis (TB) test
Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and possess a valid Florida Driver’s License with no more than three (3) points to qualify for coverage under BCI’s automobile insurance policy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience within a healthcare setting.
Experience mentoring, training, and developing staff.
Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA requirements.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Medical office billing and coding experience.
Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Athenahealth experience a plus).
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
Ability to coordinate and manage medical front office operations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities – Essential duties include, but are not limited to
Oversee clinic operations, including billing, coding, collections, and financial monitoring.
Review patient billing for accuracy and resolve billing-related inquiries.
Order and maintain clinic office supplies.
Develop, implement, and enforce clinic policies and procedures.
Supervise, train, and evaluate clinic staff.
Maintain accurate staff and patient records.
Collaborate with medical providers and nursing staff to identify and resolve operational issues.
Provide coverage for the Patient Access role as needed.
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment.
Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, laws, and ethical standards.
Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently met.
Create staffing schedules and approve time-off requests.
Work Schedule Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
