Pharmacy Customer Service Associate – Walgreens
Join Walgreens as a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience while supporting our pharmacist and store operations.
You will be on a full‑time schedule, working flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
A PTCB certification and prior retail experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a high‑quality customer experience, greeting customers, offering assistance, and ensuring satisfaction.
Register sales, provide courteous checkout service, and manage voids, returns, and refunds.
Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing prescriptions, entering patient and drug information, checking for interactions, and adhering to the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
Perform pharmacy inventory duties such as ordering, receiving, and tracking inventory, and filing warehouse overage or shortage claims.
Maintain clean, well‑merchandised counters and shelves, manage stock rotation, and construct promotional displays.
Handle phone calls that do not require pharmacist attention, including physician contacts.
Process manual claims for third‑party prescription programs and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
Assist with maintenance and upkeep of the store appearance, including exterior and interior cleaning tasks.
Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and state/local regulations for regulated products.
Training & Development
Earn and maintain PTCB certification through required training programs.
Attend ongoing training and complete post‑policy learning (PPL) modules to maintain professional knowledge.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
At least six months of retail experience.
Previous experience with Walgreens.
Strong math, computer, and inventory management skills.
PTCB certification.
Additional Information
Salary range: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour.
