Pharmacy Customer Service Associate
Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate to provide friendly, accurate service to customers in a retail pharmacy setting.
Base pay range
$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on assigned cash register, provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommend items for sale, and recommend trade‑up or companion items.
Collect cash, distribute change, process voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges, and take customers to OTC aisle when possible.
Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.
Perform duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including entering patient and drug information and ensuring accurate prescription filling.
Report prescription errors and adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
Assist with inventory management activities, maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques, and file claims for overages, shortages, and damaged goods.
Maintain compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and picture care.
Assume web pick‑up responsibilities and assist with exterior and interior maintenance for a clean store appearance.
Comply with all company policies, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, and complete special assignments as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Six months experience in a retail environment.
Prior work experience with Walgreens.
Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Good computer skills.
Knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification.
