Working under the direction of the Caltrans Maintenance Storm Water Supervisor, the incumbent works with and operates special types of equipment in the District Storm Water Crew. This crew performs storm‑water related maintenance throughout the District, including cleaning and maintaining all types of drains, sweeping highways, and mitigating erosion. The incumbent may be required to act as both laborer and operator. Eligibility may be determined by score on the Caltrans Equipment Operator II/I exam. Position located at 1250 Spruce St., Bishop, Inyo County. The incumbent will work in extreme conditions such as heat up to 120°F, cold to -15°F, wind, rain, sleet, snow, confined spaces, and may work the night shift during winter months. Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required during storms or emergencies. Minimum Requirements

CALTRANS EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I . Valid California Driver’s License (CDL). For CEO II: valid unrestricted Class A CDL with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement and current DMV medical. For CEO I: valid unrestricted Class B CDL with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement and DMV medical. Drug screening must be passed prior to hiring. Special Requirements
