Job Title Assistant Manager – Store
About the Job As an Assistant Manager you will lead daily store operations, support the team, and ensure a consistent and high‑quality customer experience. You will work closely with the Store Manager to meet sales, profit and service goals.
Responsibilities
Manage all cost controls, inventory and cash controls and keep store clean and organized.
Staffing, paperwork, marketing and profit‑generating activities.
Serve as the customer service and employee role model and enforce policy and procedures.
Maintain store image, store cleanliness, customer relations and attendance.
Support the Store Manager in scheduling, operational goals and training new team members.
Ensure the store meets local health and safety standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Strong math, cash handling and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Experience in a fast‑paced retail environment a plus.
Ability to travel between the store and delivery vehicle when required.
Essential Functions / Skills
Rapid, accurate math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Make correct monetary change and take orders with accuracy.
Computer or touch‑screen order entry and phone order processing.
Navigate delivery area, read maps and locate addresses.
Adverse weather conditions when delivering products.
Physical Requirements
Standing for most of the shift; walking on tile, linoleum and in cooler.
Deliveries between store, vehicle and customer location.
Lifting up to 50 pounds for bulk deliveries and 30 pounds for pizza sauce.
Pushing and pulling trays up to 7.5 pounds on a dolly.
Climbing stairs and ladders to change signage, wash walls and perform maintenance.
Frequent bending, stooping and squatting at pizza assembly station and front counter.
Rapid hand coordination for pizza dough and box assembly, including pinch and turning.
