Role Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Installs, sets up and troubleshoots molding machines, auxiliary equipment and assembly equipment.

Diagnoses malfunctions through use of proper test equipment.

Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on all injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment and assembly equipment.

Properly documents repairs through use of Maintenance Work Order System.

Participates in problem solving and process improvements on existing and new equipment.

Performs all general equipment maintenance.

Performs general housekeeping by keeping the Molding Floor and Maintenance areas neat and organized.

Maintains compressed air, and machine water towers.

Works effectively in a team environment to assure maintenance responsibilities are covered for production needs even on off shifts (24 on call).

Responds after hours to emergency issues affecting production or the facility.

Actively participates in continual improvement/innovation, corrective action and internal/external customer satisfaction.

Performs work on electrical circuits using proper Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.

Orders repair and maintenance components and supplies as needed.

Keep organized component inventory, both physically and electronically.

Participates in weekly safety meeting with maintenance staff.

Performs other routine duties related to the maintenance of molding machinery and support of the molding department.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in an injection molding facility preferred.

Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
