Job Summary The

Learning Specialist

supports the facilitation and delivery of regulatory education in the areas of Aggression Management courses and American Heart Association (AHA) Life Safety courses, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification courses. The Learning Specialist assists in the design, implementation, and update of new and revised Harris Health learning solutions focused on clinical and safety training. Responsibilities include managing program content, ensuring effective implementation, coordinating program delivery, and conducting follow-up using industry-standard evaluation metrics. Additionally, the Learning Specialist provides support in training needs assessments, instructional design, and reporting while making recommendations for the utilization of face-to-face, blended, and e-learning content. The primary focus is on facilitating designated training programs for various audiences, including clinical staff, with an emphasis on delivering impactful and engaging learning experiences in Aggression Management and Life Safety training.

Minimum Qualifications Degrees: Bachelors in Healthcare, Nursing, Behavioral Science; Masters preferred

Licenses & Certification

BLS from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) approved program preferred

PALS from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) approved program preferred

ACLS from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) approved program preferred

Aggression Management preferred

Work Experience Three (3) years Teaching experience and educational/instructional program design required. Healthcare industry experience preferred

Communication Skills Above average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking); Writing/ Correspondence, Writing/ Reports

Other Requirements

Ability to manage and facilitate education programs.

Knowledge of communication principles, media and marketing techniques, program planning skills, experience in supporting content curation with learning management systems.

Ability to analyze current and emerging trends (best practices) in the industry.

Synthesize and tailor complex information to the written word for the development of effective collateral materials.

Ability to identify gaps in learning.

Maintain learning and development records.
