Overview Under direction, employees in this class coordinate quota hunt processes. An employee in this classification is responsible for complex duties including setting up, testing, and conducting draws for quota hunts. Employees in this classification will ensure that application processes work correctly, that results are verified, and permits are printed and provided to those selected. This classification is the advanced level of this series and differs from the Licensing Specialist 2 in that the latter is the working level of the series.

Responsibilities

Proofs all printed and online instruction and information pertaining to quota hunts. Coordinates with each hunt application process with Wildlife Management staff to ensure accuracy. Releases quota hunt information for advertisement, online posting, and/or printing prior to opening application date for each hunt.

Tests each aspect of the quota hunt program to verify proper functionality. Coordinates with licensing management and software vendor to correct any defects in programming prior to opening application date for each quota hunt.

Answer incoming phone calls and other customer inquiries related to quota hunt rules, application processes, and results. Assist customers with resolving issues in the application process.

Run validation tests to ensure draw functioned properly. Submit validated testing materials to obtain authorization for finalization. Publish drawing results.

Send notifications of draw results to applicants. Coordinate printing of permits for applicants selected through the draw process.

Assists licensing management with troubleshooting software system issues. Create trouble tickets for the vendor and monitor status of tickets and problem resolution.

Qualifications Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school and experience equivalent to three years of full‑time increasingly responsible work in one or a combination of the following: customer service, software functionality testing, validation of software results, or detailed computer analysis and reporting.
