Data Center Technician
– TEKsystems (Mount Pleasant, WI)
Job Summary The main function of a Data Center Technician is to monitor software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions.
As a DCT, you will demonstrate expertise in standard processes and procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment, as well as a holistic understanding of the functions of, and interactions between, network and server equipment.
You will provide input for suggested modifications to these processes and procedures as needed to improve service quality and efficiency while providing guidance to other technicians.
Desired Experience
Level 3: 3+ years Data Center experience.
Level 4: 5+ years Data Center experience.
Level 5 / Lead: 5+ years dedicated Data Center experience and 2+ years leading teams of datacenter technicians.
Responsibilities
Monitor software and systems to ensure data processing meets business requirements.
Prepare, install, perform diagnostics, troubleshoot, replace, and decommission equipment.
Provide suggestions to improve processes and procedures for service quality and efficiency.
Guide and support other technicians as needed.
Qualifications
3+ years of DC experience.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Verbal and written communication, problem solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

Pay & Benefits Pay range: $30.00 - $44.00 per hour.
