Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

Base Pay Range $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr
Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Register sales on assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly and efficient checkout service.
Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy practices, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast and efficient service, recommend items for sale, recommend trade‑up and/or companion items, process voids, returns, refunds and exchanges.
Maintain counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, keep records and check in and price merchandise as directed by store manager.
Perform duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication, checking for possible interactions, assisting pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to Company policies and procedures related to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities and maintain knowledge of company asset protection techniques.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products and construct and maintain displays and promotional merchandise.
Assist in stock rotation, use first‑in, first‑out method, and organize store systems and equipment.
Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products.
Assume web pick‑up responsibilities, monitor orders, fill orders and deliver to customers as they arrive at store.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, and complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.
Attend training and complete continuing education credits, maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including latest news and developments.
Basic Qualifications
Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Prefer good computer skills.
Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
Prefer PTCB certification.
