Position Summary In this role you will work alongside a team of professionals dedicated to the continued success of Samsung Austin Semiconductor.
Role and Responsibilities
Monitor electrical rooms via cameras and a variety of electrical distribution equipment such as Variable Frequency Drives, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Diesel Generators, Breakers, High, Medium, and Low Voltage Buses, Relays, and other electrical equipment.
Operate remote breakers and/or coordinate switching operations as necessary to provide reliable power to site stakeholders.
Coordinate with other departments to troubleshoot issues, turn on/off loads, and communicate as necessary.
Participate in Leading Safety Metric activities to improve onsite safety and quality.
Take part in shift turnover briefs, including actions performed during shift, any abnormal conditions, and outstanding action items.
Provide technical assistance to junior team members as needed and coach less experienced members to improve overall level of knowledge and job satisfaction.
Shift: B shift; scheduled for 12 hour shift, Sun – Tues & alternate Saturdays (Nights).
Night shift schedule: B shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45 pm – 7:15 am) with alternating Saturdays; D shift – Wednesday through Friday (6:45 pm – 7:15 am) with alternating Saturdays.
Skills and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; some college or trade school preferred; apprenticeship or work/study program is preferred.
4+ years of experience required with SCADA, high to medium voltage operations.
Knowledge of NFPA 70E as it applies to industrial installations.
Understanding of electrical distribution system and single line diagrams.
Knowledge of standard practices of the Electrical trade.
Total Rewards Base pay range: $26.80 to $42.68 per hour. Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs.
