Relief/Per Diem Licensed Veterinary Technician Traveling - Rochester, NY Are you a Licensed Veterinary Technician looking to pick up extra shifts, explore different hospitals, or add flexible work to your schedule? Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking experienced LVTs who enjoy variety, autonomy, and supporting teams where they’re needed most.

This is an ideal opportunity for technicians who:

Prefer relief, per diem, or supplemental work

Are comfortable traveling to multiple hospitals in the Rochester, NY area.

Enjoy jumping in to support busy teams and maintain strong patient flow

What You’ll Do

Assist veterinarians and medical teams during appointments, procedures, and surgeries

Provide high-quality patient care while supporting efficiency and teamwork

Communicate clearly with clients about pet care needs, medications, and treatment plans

Maintain accurate medical records and follow established protocols

Step in as a reliable, positive presence where extra support is needed

What We’re Looking For

Active Veterinary Technician licensure

1+ year of clinical experience preferred

Comfortable working in different hospital environments

Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain active throughout shifts

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $26-30/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location and travel.
