Night Shift Inbound Material Handler – WebstaurantStore
Join WebstaurantStore’s dynamic team serving restaurant owners and foodservice professionals. The Night Shift Inbound Material Handler works the overnight hours to ensure new inventory is efficiently stocked and ready for sales.
Job Summary The Inbound Material Handler unloads, checks in and stocks new inventory into the warehouse. Responsibilities include operating warehouse equipment and using our ERP system to receive items accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Unload domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment or hand‑load import containers
Use our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and ready for storage
Move palletized product using pallet jacks or forklifts to organize the receiving dock or transport to other areas
Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanner
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers following all safety protocols
Meet performance standards for efficiency, accuracy and quality
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment and report hazards
Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly and monthly goals
Follow all company and warehouse policies
Flex into other positions and departments as needed to support overall operations
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk up to 12 hours per day
Communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing
Use hands for grasping and fine manipulation
Bend, squat, crawl, climb and reach regularly
Lift, carry, push or pull medium weights up to 75 lbs
Required Experience
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and order pickers
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Managing multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Adapting quickly to changing business needs; handling difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
Customer service‑oriented attitude with a desire to exceed expectations
Education This role does not require a degree; relevant skills and experience are valued above all else.
Desired Traits & Skills
1+ year of experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
Working Environment Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, temperature and humidity changes, dust, fumes and gases. Noise is usually quiet to moderate. The work area is average and normal.
