Commercial Driver – Part Time
AutoZone invites you to join our front‑line team as a Part‑Time Commercial Driver. This role delivers high‑quality customer service while driving company‑provided vehicles to commercial customers across Rhode Island.
Job Description AutoZone’s store teams empower customers with knowledge and support. As a Delivery Driver, you will extend that service through safe, efficient deliveries, enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales.
Responsibilities
Deliver exemplary customer service by engaging commercial customers and DIY shoppers, offering clear automotive advice, and providing installation assistance.
Collaborate closely with store personnel and commercial accounts to ensure smooth team collaboration and robust customer relationships.
Maintain efficient delivery operations: meet time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
Operate company‑provided vehicles safely and timely, loading and unloading parts accurately according to route schedules.
Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
Adhere to PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies to maintain a safe driving and working environment.
Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
Stay informed on promotions and product knowledge through AutoZone systems; maintain delivery vehicles and report any issues promptly.
Qualifications
Minimum age 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license and compliance with AutoZone’s safety requirements.
Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
Physical ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
You’ll Go The Extra Mile If You Have
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Strong communication skills; fluency in Spanish and English.
Previous experience in automotive retail.
Hazmat endorsement (preferred).
