Job Description As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the success of the store and its staff. Your duties span cost control, inventory management, cash handling, customer relations, staff scheduling, training, and regulatory compliance. You will set the example and enforce company policies 100% of the time.
Responsibilities
Staffing, paperwork, cost control, cash control, food management, schedule adherence, and store profitability.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including marketing and merchandising.
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring attendance, punctuality, and transportation to/from work.
Operate all equipment and manage inventory, including stocking ingredients, preparing products, and handling telephone orders.
Maintain equipment and facilities, performing cleaning duties regularly.
General Job Duties
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility daily.
Communication Skills
Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions/Skills
Perform accurate math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Make correct monetary change.li>
Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Demonstrate motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for precise movements.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Varying weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36 °F (cooler) to 90 °F or higher.
Sudden temperature changes in work area.
Exposure to fumes, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters.
Hot surfaces/tools with temperatures up to 500 °F.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Requirements
Standing for most tasks.
Walking short distances.
Lifting deliveries up to 50 pounds and stacking onto shelves up to 72 in. tall.
Carrying cans, pizza sauce, trays of dough up to 12 lb.
Pushing and pulling dollies (force up to 7.5 lb).
Climbing stairs or ladders for maintenance.
Stooping, bending, squatting for inventory and cleaning.
Reaching up, down, forward repeatedly.
Use of hands, eye‑hand coordination, forearm and wrist strength for dough shaping.
